Hi all,

I wanted to make a proposal to all illustrators who share their art here : would you be interested to contribute of a Tolkien fanbook?

to date, we are 6 French illustrators, but it will be perfect if we form a group of 10/15 illustrators, including from other countries.

it will be a fanbook designed like the ones you can find in amateur stands of any japan/comics convention. It will be printed and sold on pre-order. see go through a process of participatory financing.

we give priority to the principle of developing a fanbook by fans, for fans. however, and if we really are very lucky; if it is profitable, the amount that remains after the impressions will be given to all participating artists.

If you have any questions or you are interested, leave a message here or send a note to Daswhox.

Thank you, happy halloween and have a good day. <3

My name is Sam. This is a little bit spammy I know but please hear me out it's about a Tolkien Fan Art Exhibiton

I am writing on behalf of nineworlds.co.uk/ a new three-day convention celebrating geek culture from gaming, film, cosplay, fandom, literature, science and more. As part of the convention I am organizing an art exhibition for the ‘Tolkien track’ nineworlds.co.uk/track/tolkien the reason I am messaging is because we are currently looking for submissions.

The exhibition itself will be up for the duration of the convention, which is the 9th-11th of August. I realize that doesn’t leave much time for some of you but I really hope that will not deter you.

The exhibition will take part in the Tolkien room where there will be talks happening through out the day and will be manned at all times.

It is a great opportunity to promote your work with over 1000 Tolkien appreciators and others attending the convention.

Although we wont be selling the work there, If you wish contact details can be provided to allow for direct sales.

There is no charge for submitting your work this is simply a celebration of Tolkien and the world he inspires.

Interested in submitting work? Please email the following to

tolkienart@nineworlds.co.uk

- a clear image of your piece

- the media you use

- the dimensions

- 100(ish) words of exposition discussing the piece

- Deadline for submission is 31st of July but we will be selecting work as we go so try to get it in early

For more information, please email tolkienart@nineworlds.co.uk - we're very much looking forward to seeing your work!

Thanks guys :) (Smile)
